Curriculum, Training and Teaching Work Study and Research Group

The study and research group: Curriculum, Training and Teaching Work is made up of a network involving researchers from the State University of Londrina, the University of Évora - Portugal, the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul, the Federal University of Southern Bahia and the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais. The GEP-CFTD also brings together students, teachers of basic education and higher education, researchers and others interested in collectively building knowledge that contributes to social transformation through education, and aims to understand the context of Curriculum, Training and Teaching Work, since these categories of analysis presuppose a permanent exercise of problematization with regard to pedagogical praxis. In order to do this, we will try to unveil a panorama of what already exists in terms of research and development on the subject in our country, from the point of view of the authors who enrich the literature in the area, and also take a close look at the interior of training spaces, so that we can get to know certain practices that prove to be promising and stimulating for curricular policies.
That said, the Curriculum, Training and Teaching Work Study and Research Group (GEP-CFTD) is a space for the collective production of knowledge, aimed at critical and reflective research into training processes in the field of education. Linked to its commitment to public, democratic and social quality schools, the group articulates teaching, research and extension, promoting dialog between theory and practice. GEP-CFTD's work is centered on three fundamental axes: the curriculum as a field of dispute and social construction; teacher training as a continuous and emancipatory process; and teaching work as a complex dimension, crossed by historical, political and pedagogical challenges.
Our visual identity reflects these commitments. The open book symbolizes knowledge and the theoretical basis that underpins our actions. The human figures represent collectivity and the centrality of subjects in educational processes. The gears refer to teaching work and transformative practice. The spiral evokes the constant movement of critical thinking and human formation. The green and grey colors express hope and professional commitment to public education, respectively.
